Community Events

The Annual Police and Fire Festival, hosted by Andover's Police and Fire Departments, takes place on the 1st Saturday in June.
This family friendly, fun-filled event features demonstrations by both departments, games and prizes for those of all ages, and so much more!  It also gives the community a chance to meet and get to know our local first responders.

Greater Andover Days (GAD) is a 4-day community festival jam packed with activities for everyone in the family!  With the majority of the events held right in Central Park, you can have loads of fun, all in one place!  You can be a kid again at the carnival, indulge in the delicious goodies at the food court, meet local business owners at the business expo, check out some classic hot rods at the car show, enjoy nightly live entertainment, grab your seat on the street curb to catch the biggest parade in Andover, see the sky light up at the annual fireworks show, and many other exciting events. Check out the Facebook page to catch a glimpse at the fun from past events!

Hometown Christmas is held on the 2nd Thursday in December.  This event has been bringing the community together since 1980, starting off as a spaghetti eating gathering in a local shopping center.  Today, it is an evening of family fun for the citizens of Andover and area communities.  The festivities take place in Andover's Central Park, as well as, City Hall, The Lodge, and the Public Library.  The evening has been known to be filled with a tree lighting ceremony, pictures with Santa, chili cook-off and tasting, hay rack rides through the park, cookie decorating, hot beverages, holiday themed crafts, and live music provided by Andover schools.  Attendees donate new toys, staple and canned goods, and cash donations to benefit the Andover Food Bank and the local non profit, Caring and Sharing.
