2. Can I drive my ATV/Golf Cart/Utility Vehicle on City Streets?

The City of Andover allows limited use of ATV/Golf Carts/small Utility vehicles on some City streets. There is a one-time $25 City registration required, as well as proof of insurance. Information and registration is available at Andover Police Department. More Information

3. Do I need a building permit?

Building permits need to be obtained before constructing fences, sprinkler systems, remodels, additions, sheds and many other projects. A checklist of various permits and associated requirements is available on the Building Departments web page for download. WORK COVERED UNDER THE PERMIT IS NOT AUTHORIZED UNTIL THE PERMIT HAS BEEN APPROVED AND SIGNED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND/OR THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR. Follow this link for details

6. What is the current sales tax in Andover?

The current sales tax in Andover is 6.55%. The City has dedicated 1% to street rehabilitation. Effective July 1, the State adds an additional 1 cent.

7. Where do I go to get a driver's licence or Kansas State ID?

The Driver's License station is located in the Andover Square Shopping Center (111 W. Central Ave.) The phone number is 316-733-0106. They are closed on Mondays.
