Welcome to the Andover Fire and Rescue Department. Our vision is driven by our commitment to providing premier fire services in Western Butler County.

 The Andover Fire and Rescue Department
serves a population of upwards of 20,000 people
and an area of 40 square miles. Response units
and personnel are deployed from 1 staion
located at 911 North Andover Road.
AFD is a combunation department made up
of 14 career and 15 volunteer firefighters.

TRAINING
All career firefighters along with a majority of
the volunteers are trained to FFI/II, EMT and EMT-I,HazMat Operational and Vehicle Extrication.
Several of the firefighters have specialty training in other areas such as Rescue Technition,
Hazardous Materials Technition and so on.

SHIFTS
AFD career personnel staff the station with 1 Captain and 3 firefighters working a 24 hour duty cycle and 48 hours off.
The volunteers respond when available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
