Sgt. Steve Harryman has been with the Andover Police Department since September 2001. Prior to that he was a part time police officer with the Conway Springs (KS) Police Department, and served 6 ½ years in the US Air Force. Sgt. Harryman is currently Watch Commander of night watch.

MPO Nygaard served in the United States Army with the 571st MP Company and was activated again in 2007 and stationed in Ft. Riley’s Traffic Investigations.
He began in Law Enforcement in 1994. He was Chief of Police in Waubay (SD), worked in Lindsborg (KS) as a patrolman, and was a Deputy/ Narcotics Investigator with Rooks County (KS) Sheriff’s Office. He then worked in Cheney, Kansas and received a Certificate of Commendation from the Sedgwick County Sheriff for Narcotics Information that led to a statewide drug ring.
He joined the Andover Police Department in 2005.
