GAD 2021: Forward Together
The lost time in 2020 is in the past and it’s time we move “Forward Together” with this year’s Greater Andover Days (GAD) celebration which will be held October 14th - 17th, 2021. This year's festival is later in the year than usual. The committee decided to push it back so as not to interfere with Wichita's Riverfest which happened to fall during our original dates. The good news is, our new dates coincide with the big Andover vs. Andover Central game weekend so our festival will be a terrific time to bring our community together to celebrate!
The GAD committee has already been hard at work to make sure we continue to have some of the traditional events AND that we introduce some new events to our festival as well!
Buttons are on sale for $3 starting September 20. On October 14th, prices go up to $5 so buy your buttons early!
Buttons are your "tickets" to get into GAD festivities.
If you are viewing on a mobile device, please make sure to scroll down to see the links to individual events with more information!
Check out who will be at the Capitol Federal Amphitheater® on Saturday, October 16!
Greater Andover Days (GAD) is a four-day festival that occurs the 4th weekend after Labor Day weekend. The event offers handfuls of fun, food, and entertainment for the entire family! Over 5,000 people attend GAD annually. The festival includes a food court, KidFest, parade, fishing clinic, car show, business expo/craft fair, carnival, live entertainment and a fireworks show in Central Park.
The First Greater Andover Days Festival took place in 1967 as an effort to unify the citizens of Andover through a shared festival experience. Admission to the festival is covered through the purchase of a GAD button. GAD buttons are available for purchase at local retailers typically 1-2 weeks in advance of the festival. Children 5 and under are free.
Carnival rides and games are Friday and Saturday. GAD events are located within the Andover Central Park at 1607 E. Central, unless otherwise indicated on the schedule.
