Community Events

The City of Andover hosts many annual events in Central Park, including the Summer Concert Series, Police and Fire Community Cook Out, Greater Andover Days (September/October), and Hometown Christmas (December).

The Police and Fire Community Cook Out is a family-friendly, fun-filled event featuring demonstrations by both departments. It also gives the community a chance to meet and get to know our local first responders.

The Andover Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts an annual concert in Andover Central Park as a community and tourist event. After several years of successful concerts, the new Capitol Federal Amphitheater® was built in 2017. The first Summer Concert Series took place in 2018 and brought four concerts to the new venue representing various genres. Check out more information about the Capitol Federal Amphitheater® here. The Summer Concert Series brings popular artists like Chris Janson, Melissa Etheridge, Colbie Caillat, and more to Andover.

Greater Andover Days (GAD) is packed with activities for everyone in the family!  Check out the Facebook event to catch a glimpse of the fun from past events and stay up-to-date on this year's plans.

Hometown Christmas has been bringing the community together since 1980, starting off as a spaghetti dinner gathering in a local shopping center. In recent years, the event has evolved to include festivities throughout Central Park, including inside City Hall and the Public Library.
