Stargazing at Andover Central Middle School

 7:00-7:30pm Student Presentations
 Location: ACMS Commons
 ACMS eighth grade student projects will be on display and selected students will present
 their stories to the community. The students will have created their own constellation
 and written a narrative relating to the history of the first colonies. Additionally, they will
 have determined the star types and characteristics within their constellations.

 7:30-8:00pm Educational Presentation - Jerelyn Ramirez, KS Astronomical Observers President
 Location: ACMS Commons
 Ms. Ramirez will discuss the life cycle of stars. She will distribute star charts and
 handouts. A sound system, projector and screen will be provided.

 8:00-10:00pm Stargazing
 Location: ACMS Practice Football Field
 The KS Astronomical Observers will bring telescopes (6+) for night sky observation and
 assist with spotting objects.

 *The ACMS Java & Good Stuff (JAGS) group will provide hot chocolate and star cookies as a
 fundraiser throughout.

 *The community is encouraged to bring their own telescopes.
 *GAD buttons will be available for purchase at the event.
