The City of Andover hosts many annual events all in Central Park: concerts, the Police and Fire Community Cook Out, Greater Andover Days, and Hometown Christmas.
The Police and Fire Community Cook out is family friendly, fun-filled event featuring demonstrations by both departments and so much more! It also gives the community a chance to meet and get to know our local first responders.
Starting in 2013, the Andover Convention and Visitors Bureau has been bringing an annual concert to Andover Central Park as a community and tourist event. As a result of the success, it was decided the community would benefit from a permanent venue and construction of the new Capitol Federal Amphitheater® took place during much of 2017. The first Summer Concert Series took place in 2018. Four concerts were held with various genres of music being represented.
Greater Andover Days (GAD) is packed with activities for everyone in the family! From food trucks to the carnival, entertainment on stage, a business expo, parade, and more, there is truly something for all members of the family.
Hometown Christmas has been bringing the community together since 1980, starting off as a spaghetti eating gathering in a local shopping center. Today's event includes festivities throughout Central Park, including inside City Hall, and the Andover Public Library. Activities vary from meeting Santa, s'mores with first responders, holiday activities in the Library, hot beverage stations, and so much more.
