About the Park

The 13th Street Sports Park is located at 1008 E. 13th Street and has many recreational facilities. The tennis courts are on 13th Street west of the main park entrance with a picnic shelter, charcoal pit, restrooms and a large area for all types of group games / sports.

The Andover Community Center (ACC) is located in the 13th Street Sports Park and is available for indoor activities on a structured fee basis. Call City Hall at (316) 733-1303 for more information on the Andover Community Center. There is a large handicap accessible playground behind the ACC building available to the public year round.

13th Street Sports Park playground.jpgAs you drive into the park, you’ll notice the nature path (approximately one mile in length), picnic areas by the creek to the right, the large picnic shelter to the left with a sand volleyball pit. The Grant Nelson Memorial basketball court and horseshoe pits are west of the large picnic shelter area. There are ball diamonds with bleachers, multi-purpose fields (for t-ball, soccer, etc.), and a concession stand including restrooms with more picnic tables. Next you find a handicap-accessible playground that features water toys that are seasonally available.  A license can be obtained to utilize the fields and the entire complex.  



SHELTERS

Residents are encouraged to reserve the 13th Street Sports Park picnic shelters for their family or group outings by following the link for more information or completing a reservation form at City Hall. No fee is charged for the picnic shelters. Call (316) 733-1303 ext. 421 for information.
